Film Screening | 'Full Circle: Before They Were Famous'
Join us for the screening of 'Full Circle: Before They Were Famous' a documentary featuring American photographer William John Kennedy.
In the early 1960s, fine art photographer William John Kennedy and his wife, Marie, became friends with Andy Warhol and Robert Indiana as they were leading the emerging Pop Art Movement. Kennedy photographed the iconic artists with their timeless works. The images remained in storage for nearly half a century. Full Circle: Before They Were Famous traces those images’ journey from the day Kennedy composed them to the present. With appearances by: Robert Indiana, Taylor Mead, Ultra Violet, Eric Shiner, William John and Marie Kennedy. Directed by Brian Bayer.
The current exhibit at Snap! (and 'All About Warhol' exhibition curated by Snap! and KIWI Arts Group for the Orlando Museum of Arts, in May 2015) feature images from the William John Kennedy Collection. These images are considered “rare and highly significant” by the Andy Warhol Museum’s director, and are believed to be “the only such images in existence capturing the artists with their works.”
The film will be followed by a Q&A with Louis Canales, Docent and Creative Director of KIWI Arts Group.
